Annual Business Meeting
Each year, our Annual Business Meeting is a sacred moment for our Metro family—a time to reflect on God’s faithfulness, steward His resources with integrity, and prayerfully prepare for the future of our church. This page is designed to help you come to the meeting informed, confident, and ready to participate in this important season of leadership and decision-making.

Our hope is that reviewing these materials in advance allows for clarity, unity, and meaningful engagement as we gather together. The meeting is Sunday, March 15, following service.

2025 Financial Report and 2026 Approved Budget.
We begin with deep gratitude to the Lord for His continued faithfulness to Metro Assembly and for the generosity of our church family. Because of God’s provision and your obedience, lives have been touched, needs have been met, and the gospel has been carried both across the street and across the sea. Together, we testify that God has used this house to make a real and lasting impact—locally and globally—and we give Him all the glory.

1. What areas do you serve in at Metro?
Greeters, Communion, Altar, Benevolence and Pastor’s Prayer Circle.2. Briefly describe what made you choose Metro.
I chose Metro because I sensed the presence of the Lord, the love that the congregation has for each other. It was also evident to me that Pastor Cornell was a man of integrity and character. That he really loves God‘s people. I’ve also found Metro to be a place of peace for me as I was grieving the death of my previous pastor.3. What are your hopes for Metro moving forward?
My hopes for Metro is that we as a congregation will grow and mature so that we can see God move in a powerful way, not only in our individual lives, but throughout our community.
4. Why have you chose to serve?
I’ve chosen to serve because I want to follow Jesus’s example of sacrifice and obedience. -

1. What areas do you serve in at Metro?
Sunday Service, Worship Ministry, Men’s Ministry, and Pastor’s Prayer Circle.
2. Briefly describe what made you choose Metro.
Have been a friend of Metro for a while. Since changing ministry, and relocating from New Jersey, this is where my wife and I have landed. Other than being best friends, brothers, and partners in ministry (with The Jordans), it was an easy choice to make.
3. What are your hopes for Metro moving forward?
I pray that the ministry grows and strengthens, in ministry, for the coming days.
4. Why have you chose to serve?
I’ve always desired to make Kingdom impact wherever I am. Ministry, work, or wherever. I believe that godly relationships are intertwined and will allow me to be a productive church member. -

Children's Ministry, Hub, Prayer, and Pastor’s Prayer Circle.
2. Briefly describe what made you choose Metro
I wanted to be part of a church that served Youngstown. Derrick McDowell invited me one Sunday and I accepted. I stayed because it is home.
3. What are your hopes for Metro moving forward?
My hope is to have an even greater impact across the street and across the sea!
4. Why have you chose to serve?
Service is part of who I am. -

It was my wife's idea to look for a church.3. What are your hopes for Metro moving forward?
Greater move of the Spirit, salvations, miracles, healings (mental and physical), spiritual growth of the people in the church.
4. Why have you chose to serve?
The leading of the Holy Spirit.

The church board is recommending these bylaw updates to ensure our governing documents reflect the current structure, language, and operational realities of Metro Assembly. These changes are not about altering our mission, but about strengthening clarity, alignment, and accountability so that we can move confidently into the future with a firm and faithful foundation.

The Jubilee Offering was a powerful season of faith that strengthened our trust in God, expanded our vision, and positioned us for what is next. Building on that momentum, the Touch the City Offering will now replace the Jubilee Offering, serving as the next step in extending our impact throughout our city and community.
